Monzo, U.K. Bank Offering Energy Supply Switching Via Its App, Expanding To U.S., Raises Funding

Monzo, a digital, mobile-only bank based in the United Kingdom, that previously added the ability for customers to switch their retail energy supplier via the Monzo app, has announced a new round of funding that will allow expansion into the United States
As previously reported by RetailEnergyX.com , Monzo's energy supply switching service launched in the U.K. with two energy suppliers: OVO Energy and Octopus Energy.
Monzo announced Y Combinator Continuity and Latitude as its newest investors, as the two collectively invested £113 million in Monzo.
More than two million people are using Monzo. In May alone more than 200,000 new people joined. More than 40,000 customers open an account every week
