Dallas Electricity Rates formally announced the launch of an electricity plan comparison site (dallaselectricityrates.com)

In a terms of service, Dallas Electricity Rates states that the site and service do not charge visitors a fee.

"Some REPs shown on the Site have agreements with DallasElectricityRates pursuant to which DallasElectricityRates receives a fee from those REPs when consumers enroll in the REP’s service after using DallasElectricityRates. This compensation is one of many factors that can cause those REPs to appear in our Featured, Sponsored or Recommended portions of the Site and/or affect the placement or order of REPs’ appearance in search results and comparison features on the Site. Other such factors include the plans’ prices, what we believe to be the quality of the REPs’ content, the variety of REPs’ plan offerings, REPs’ reviews and ratings, REPs’ deposit policies, REPs’ fees, and other factors that we believe are useful," the terms of service states
