May 23,2019

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) will withdraw its application at the Nevada PUC to take competitive electric supply as it reached a 5-year energy services agreement with NV Energy

Separately, Golden Entertainment announced that it reached an agreement with NV Energy for Golden Entertainment to remain on fully-bundled electric service from the utility

Separately, Staffers at the Nevada PUC have filed comments stating that NV Energy's Optional Pricing Program Rate would result in higher costs to other customers, The Nevada Independent reports

According to The Nevada Independent, a PUC Staffer projected that the program would shift $4.2 million in cost to other customers, and if the program was open to all eligible customers (no participation cap), the projected cost shift is $17 million annually
