Arizona Staff Set Date For Release Of Proposed Revisions To Retail Electric Competition Rules

April 26,2019

In releasing proposed revisions to renewable and other energy rules, Staff of the Arizona Corporation Commission indicated that, "Staff's proposal with respect to retail electric competition will be docketed in June and discussed at a workshop scheduled for July."

In terms of the Staff's filed proposed rules for Renewable Energy Standard and Tariff, Resource Planning and Procurement, Energy Efficiency (Electric and Gas), the Environmental Portfolio Standard, and Net Metering, the redline document strikes all of the existing retail competition rules, but, as noted, Staff will file its proposal in June
