Leaders of several community choice aggregations in California authored an op-ed published in The Mercury News urging lawmakers to rely on CCAs to serve as customers' retail electric provider
In the op-ed, the CCA leaders stated, "As the state considers ideas for restructuring the electricity markets due to PG&E’s bankruptcy, it should recognize the role CCEs [community choice energy] can play as the retail electricity provider for all customers, providing the benefits of reduced electricity costs and accelerated climate solutions for all."
