Consumer Counsel Says Retail Supplier Had 823 Different Rates, Only Five Lower Than Default Service

The Hartford (CT) Courant published an op-ed by Elin Swanson Katz in which Katz advocates for her previous call to end residential electric choice in Connecticut (see prior story here)

In the op-ed, Katz states, "in December, one supplier had 823 different prices and 7461 customers. Only five of those customers paid less than standard service. Another supplier had 80 different prices and 23,152 customers, and only 171 of them paid less than the standard offer."
