N.H. Consumer Advocate Pushing Better Access To Customer Data, Online Portal

February 18,2019

D. Maurice Kreis, New Hampshire’s Consumer Advocate is advocating for creation of an online repository of customer electricity usage data, similar to Smart Meter Texas

A proposed bill, SB 284, to implement such a repository would require third parties to be registered to access the site. Prior legislation requires customer authorization to access any customer-specific data

Kreis is also pushing for adoption by the EDCs of the Green Button 'connect my data' standard

See Kreis's column in the Manchester Ink Link for more details
