New Jersey Resources reported that its Energy Services segment recorded first-quarter fiscal 2019 (quarter ending 12/31/18) net financial earnings (NFE) of $8.4 million, compared with $20.3 million during fiscal 2018.

The decrease in NFE was due primarily to the lack of sustained cold weather and related pricing volatility as compared to last year.
