The Bellafontaine, Ohio Examiner reports that Bellefontaine city officials have alleged that door-to-door agents selling on behalf of Just Energy are showing potential customers a copy of the agents' registration with the city, which is printed on city letterhead, and that agents are allegedly using such letter as showing that the supplier is connected with the city.

Elsewhere, the Sanilac County, Michigan Sheriff says that it has received numerous complaints concerning door-to-door agents selling on behalf of Just Energy, the Brown City Banner reports

Just Energy provided RetailEnergyX.com with the following statement:

“Just Energy takes our sales training and compliance very seriously. As such, we have removed all sales consultants from the area while we investigate this issue. We continue to work with all local officials to ensure Just Energy representatives are only using approved scripts that represent the true value of Just Energy products”
