Hive, a brand of Centrica (which also owns Direct Energy), today announced it has received official ENERGY STAR certification for its Hive Thermostat.

Hive also offers its US customers other ENERGY STAR certified products – Hive dimmable warm white smart bulbs and Hive cool to warm white smart bulbs.

Centrica plc plans to invest £500m in Hive by 2020, taking the Hive smart home experience multi-market.
