DTE Says Lower Natural Gas Costs Will Reduce Bills This Winter

November 19,2018

DTE Energy said in a news release that customers will see lower bills this winter from lower gas costs and reductions from federal tax changes

DTE Energy's current residential Gas Cost Recovery charge is $0.28600/Ccf. DTE Energy Gas Cost Recovery charge had been $0.316/Ccf in November 2017

DTE Energy's current Reservation Charge for residential GCR customers is 0.03100/Ccf

"Across the November-March heating season, the typical residential natural gas customer can expect to spend about 7.5 percent, or about $44, less than over the same period last year. The decrease is the result of reductions in the cost of natural gas and a usage-based tax credit reflecting the company's federal tax savings from 2018," DTE said
